Welcome to the Wilson Wealth Show’s special recap of the Association of African American Financial Advisors (Quad A) Vision Conference. In this episode the Wilson Wealth team—Maurice Wilson, Jonathan Bolston, Chris Watson, and others—reflect on attending the 25th anniversary Vision Conference, where this year’s theme was The Wealth Shift: Ownership, Legacy, and the Next Era. For the first time, Wilson Wealth staffed a booth in the exhibit hall, Takara Houston moderated a panel titled Independent IRA Playbook, and Chris Watson spoke on an Estate Planning Mastery 2.0 panel. The team discusses what Quad A is, why it matters for Black financial professionals, and what they learned about the industry: stronger representation, career and recruiting opportunities, the rise of independent RIA models, and growing client demand for holistic, multigenerational services. They share how the booth helped showcase Wilson Wealth’s culture, independence, and advisor-focused model, and how conversations at Vision sparked new relationships, referrals, and ideas. The episode closes with practical takeaways about industry trends—advice succession, younger advisors entering the field, and the need for deeper tax, estate, and multigenerational planning—and what Wilson Wealth plans to bring to future conferences.
